Professional Certification: PCMA Marketing Management Institute (MMI) In addition to the educational and networking opportunities available at the PCMA Annual National Conference, PCMA members may demonstrate their commitment and professionalism by achieving the Certified Marketing Professional (CMP) and Master Certified Marketing Professional (MCMP) designation. Statistics have shown that certified club professionals demonstrate greater earning power and career security. The Marketing Management Institute is a top-notch certification program and is recognized industry-wide. CMP In order to attain the CMP designation a member must complete four (4) of seven (7) Marketing Management Institute (MMI) courses in any sequence. MMI-I is mandatory for those with less than two years of experience in the membership and marketing director position. It shall be waived for individuals with more than two years of experience. MCMP In order to attain the MCMP designation, one must have completed all seven (7) MMI courses in any sequence. The MCMP status represents the very best in the director of membership position. REQUEST TO TAKE AN MMI COURSE AT YOUR CLUB With a minimum of six (6) attendees, a member may request an MMI instructor to travel to his or her club or region to provide an MMI course. Note: One must be a PCMA member in good standing to attain any level of certification. A member enrolled in the certification program must also attend and complete the PCMA Annual National Conference in conjunction with the certification course being taken. If a member seeking certification is able to complete the MMI certification course, but unable to attend and complete the PCMA Annual National Conference as part of the program, he or she may complete and submit a membership study to replace the uncompleted conference educational credit. 2009 Professional Certification at the 14th Annual Strategic Membership Conference ACCELERATE YOUR PATH TOWARD CERTIFICATION.
