 Membership Development Specialist

 

Responsible for enrolling new golf members and implementing LWCA’s marketing and sales objectives for its golf courses.

 

Job Description

*Assist the Director of Golf in the preparation of a sales plan for LWCA’s golf courses.

*Develop and implement strategies to attract golf course members and meet the goals and objectives of the sales plan for LWCA’s golf courses.

*Initiate the creation of a membership committee whose purpose is geared toward the generation of prospects and new members and meet with the membership committee on a regular basis.

*Develop a database in order to locate prospects.

*Network with members, guests and the community in order to maximize leads and referrals.

*Develop and implement strategies for retaining golf memberships.

*Initiate a timely follow up with new members for the purpose of acquiring a prospective member referral.

*Provide weekly sales reports to the Director of Golf and the Community Manager.

 

Skills

*Knowledge of the game of golf

*Strong sales skills.

*Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel.

*Excellent customer service orientation and people skills with the focus on customer satisfaction.

 

Experience

*At least two years work experience in previous sales position, preferably in golf, hospitality or service industry.

*Degree in business, marketing, public relations, communications or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would permit the employee to perform the job functions.

 

Salary

Base plus commission
